Selected from a recruitment pool of full and part-time faculty and medical assisting program directors, Denise Woodson is the online academic coordinator of SMARTHINKING's medical assisting program. Denise is responsible for supervising, training, evaluating and mentoring medical assisting instructors, managing operational components of the program, and pursuing additional avenues of development for the program.
Denise has over twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry including instructional experience. Her hospital employment has included management and supervision of clinical staff ranging from 10 to 100+ employees. The various laboratory positions have included adjunct faculty appointments at local junior colleges for Medical Laboratory Technician clinical internships. Since 2002, Denise has been an instructor of Laboratory Science and Medical Office Systems at Bryant and Stratton College in Richmond, VA, where she currently resides.
Denise has a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, an MA in Allied Health Education from Central Michigan University, and Microsoft-certified training in Software Development and Web Design from Professional Resource Management in Richmond, VA. |
