Dennis C. Hovis has been a member of the Board of Directors at Eagle Bank and Trust since 1997. He graduated from DeSoto High School in 1966 and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University with a major in business management. He is a Life Underwriting Training Fellow from the National Association of Life Underwriters.
Since 1984, Mr. Hovis has been an independent insurance agent and broker and serves as president of Dennis C. Hovis & Associates, Inc. in DeSoto, Missouri. He is a registered representative with Walnut Street Securities, Inc., selling mutual funds with a series 6 and 63 license.
Mr. Hovis is a director on the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce Board, Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation, and DeSoto Industrial Authority. He is a member of the DeSoto Kiwanis Club, St. Louis Association of Health Underwriters and Scenic River's Life Underwriters. Mr. Hovis served on the DeSoto City Council from 1981 to 1987 and as mayor of DeSoto, Missouri, in 1983/84 and 1986/87.
Mr. Hovis was born and raised in DeSoto, Missouri, and is married to Kathy (Elmore) Hovis. They have two sons, Kevin and David. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in DeSoto and enjoys playing golf and singing with the gospel group Carita Singers. |
