Dr. Langer has been a Managing Partner at Phoenix IP Ventures, an intellectual property Venture Capital firm, since August 2005. Dr. Langer has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has served as President, North America, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited. Previously, Dr. Langer was with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for nine years including positions as a member of the R&D Executive Team and as Senior V.P., Project and Portfolio Management. He has also held R&D and commercial management positions with SmithKline Beecham, Searle, Abbott Laboratories, and Eli Lilly & Co. Dr. Langer also served as the first President and Chief Executive Officer of Neose Technologies, Inc., (NASDAQ:NTEC ). Dr. Langer earned an M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine, a J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. in Biology from Columbia University. Dr. Langer currently serves on the Board of Sirna Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNAI), Myriad Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ:MYGN), and Cytogen Corporation (NASDAQ:CYTO). He also serves on the Boards of Visitors at Columbia College, Columbia University and Georgetown University School of Medicine.
