As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Limited since January 2001, Dennis Mahoney is responsible for the overall coordination of all Aon operations located in the United Kingdom. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Aon International Executive Committee.
In September 2003, Mahoney was appointed Executive Chairman of Aon Re Global, with responsibility for all of Aon�s reinsurance broking operations worldwide.
Prior to assuming this role, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Group Limited, the London-based reinsurance and specialist broking operation of Aon Group Inc.
Mahoney began his insurance career in 1969 when he joined the North American Division of Price Forbes & Co. He was appointed to the Board of Sedgwick Ltd in 1982, and, in June 1984, he was invited to join Alexander Howden Group as Chairman of Alexander Howden Limited, the London-based wholesale broking arm of Alexander & Alexander Services.
In 1996, Mahoney was elected as the first Chairman of the World Insurance Network. He has also served as a Deputy Chairman of Lloyd�s Insurance Broking Committee and is the immediate past President of the Insurance Institute of London.
In 1983, he successfully completed the Program of Management. |
