Dennis P. Himan is group vice president of The Toro Company and is responsible for several divisions, including commercial equipment, irrigation, international, landscape contractor business (Exmark brand), corporate accounts, and Toro-owned MTI Distributing. From 2003 to 2006, he served as vice president and general manager, international business, overseeing significant improvements in international revenue growth. From 1999 to 2003, he was vice president and general manager of the landscape contractor businesses and president of Exmark Manufacturing a producer of zero-turn-radius riding mowers acquired by Toro in 1997 when Himan was vice president for mergers and acquisitions.
Himan joined Toro as vice president and treasurer in 1987 from FSI Corp., in Chaska, MN, where he was the chief financial officer. He had previously been with Toro as corporate controller and director of planning and analysis from 1980 to 1985.
Himan also spent 7 years with the Dayton Hudson Corp. in finance and administration. In addition, he held positions as a planning officer at the Virginia National Bank in Norfolk, VA, and as an instructor at Old Dominion University.
He graduated from De Pauw University in Indiana with a B.A. in economics and political science; he earned an MBA from Columbia University in New York City. |
