Dennis Dawsey, formerly director of distribution operations for Entergy Mississippi, Inc., is vice president, distribution operations, Louisiana. He is responsible for overseeing electric service and reliability to well over one million customers in the state and reports to Louisiana president and chief executive officer Renae Conley and New Orleans chairman and chief executive officer Rod West.
Dawsey�s Entergy career spans 28 years11 in Texas, 15 in Louisiana, and two in Mississippi. A registered professional engineer in Louisiana and Texas and a certified project management professional, Dawsey has served as a field design engineer, industrial account representative, substation/relay/SCADA design engineer, distribution planning engineer, transmission planning engineer, area design manager and network manager. He also worked in a system-support role as manager of Systems Development and Management.
Immediately prior to leading Mississippi�s operations, Dawsey served as a region manager for Entergy Louisiana and successfully completed restoration work following Hurricane Katrina in Metairie and Kenner, as well as the northshore area of Lake Pontchartrain. Safety is his No. 1 goal.
Dawsey received his bachelor�s degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University in 1980 and his master of business administration degree from the LSU Flores Executive MBA program in 2003. He is married with three children. |
