Description of Practice:
Derek is an associate in our Walnut Creek office, whose practice focuses on land use litigation, primarily under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Planning and Zoning Law, and a variety of other land use and environmental regulations. He has written several articles pertaining to land use and various environmental issues, including one in the California Land Use Law and Policy Reporter entitled, "Urban Decay: The Uncertain intersection of CEQA and Economic Analysis."
Prior to practicing law, he worked for Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C. and for the San Diego Chamber of Commerce.
Educational History:
Derek received his J.D., cum laude, from Hastings College of the Law in 2003. He received his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego in 1996. |
