Mr. Lewis brings over 10 years of engineering experience, including nearly 7 years in the medical implant area, to OrthoHelix. He has held roles in both engineering and operations including senior management experience in both product development and quality assurance. He also has significant experience in leading large scale medical device projects from concept through launch. Mr. Lewis most recently served as the Director of Development Engineering for Biomet Microfixation, formerly Walter Lorenz Surgical. At Biomet Microfixation, he progressed from Development Engineer responsible for the neurosurgical product line through several management positions both within engineering and operations. As a development engineer he successfully designed and launched several new product lines that helped lead to significant sales growth within the neurosurgical fixation market. Mr. Lewis also holds several issued and pending medical device patents. He holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. |
