Dev Ittycheria serves as the president of Enterprise Service Management where he is responsible for guiding the people and teams who develop market sell implement and support BMC's ESM line of software solutions.
Prior to BladeLogic's acquisition by BMC Dev was president & chief executive officer of BladeLogic and was responsible for the strategic direction and management of the company. Under Dev�s guidance BladeLogic acquired more customers delivered better operating performance in terms of revenue and profitability and grew its business faster than any of its competitors. In July 2007 he led one of the most successful technology IPOs (NASDAQ:BLOG) of the year with BladeLogic becoming the first systems management software company to go public in the post-bubble era. Before co-founding the company Dev was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners a leading global venture capital firm where he developed the vision and recruited the core team to launch BladeLogic. In 2004 Dev was recognized jointly by Ernst & Young and Microsoft as an "Entrepreneur of the Year" for his outstanding leadership at BladeLogic.
Previously Dev held senior leadership positions at Breakaway Solutions AT&T and Teleport Communications Group. He also was co-founder president & chief executive officer of Applica an early cloud computing pioneer which was later acquired by Breakaway.
Dev holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University. |
