Devin Bonik joined the Jaguars on April 10, 2003. He works closely with Jaguars Head Coach Jack Del Rio on all operational aspects of the football team. Bonik is involved in a number of areas including personnel evaluation, coaching staff decisions and coordination of all schedules for mini-camps, training camp and the regular season, as well as the calendar for the entire year. He also works with the assistant coaches in providing statistical analysis and compiling the scouting reports for upcoming opponents.
Bonik came to the Jaguars from Forever Sports Inc., a company he founded in 1987 that operates residential youth football camps featuring instruction from NFL players and college coaches. In 14 years, more than 25,000 youth attended football camps held in 14 NFL cities. Bonik was a graduate assistant coach at Oklahoma State in 1985 and '86, after serving as an administrative assistant at Conoco Oil from 1982 to '84. He received a degree in business administration in 1982 from Oklahoma State, where he played outside linebacker under Jimmy Johnson. Bonik was born May 16, 1961 in Corning, N.Y. He is single and lives in Jacksonville. |
