Dexter joined Eaton Vance in December 2005. Prior to that he was Senior Managing Director of Voyageur Asset Management (MA) (2002 - 2005). From 1978 though July 2002, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Capital Management. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Freedom Mutual Funds and Freedom Group of Tax Exempt Funds. Dexter provides investment guidance for individual and institutional investment accounts as a senior portfolio manager. Previously a Senior Managing Partner of Loomis, Sayles and Co. in Boston, Dexter has been active in the investment management business for over forty years. Dexter is the Chairman of the Board of Overseers and a former twenty four year trustee of his alma mater, Boston University. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Dexter retired as a Brigadier General after 32 years in active duty and active reserve duty. He was also Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Boston University Medical Center Trustee Council and a Trustee of the Boston University Hospital. He is also a former President and Governor of the Down Town Club, a director of Wiggins Airways and other corporate and charitable boards. |
