She has particular experience in merger investigations, having worked on Andersen/Ernst & Young (France & Germany), GE/Honeywell, and Airtours/First Choice (both at the Commission stage and in the Court of First Instance appeal), as well as on cases before the UK Competition Commission (Centrica/Rough, Pan Fish/Marine Harvest) and the German Bundeskartellamt (BP/E.ON, Avery Dennison/Jackstdt). She has also worked on several cases in South Africa (Sasol/Engen, Altech/NamITech) and has appeared as an expert witness before the South African Competition Tribunal. This work has involved unilateral, coordinated, vertical and conglomerate effects, and failing firm issues, and has covered a broad range of industrial sectors. She also has experience in nonmerger cases, including studies of the comparative efficiency of alternative payment schemes for music rights, and the economic effects of vertical restraints. |
