Diane has more than 20 years of experience practicing law with nationally recognized law firms and publicly held corporations. Her practice has concentrated in the areas of corporate transactions employment and litigation.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Diane was a partner in the Corporate Services Department for the Chicago office of McGuireWoods LLP. Previously she spent 17 years in the legal department of Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. formerly known as Zurich Scudder Investments Inc. and Kemper Financial Services Inc. where she was a Director and Team Leader of the Corporate and Investments Team. Before that Diane was a litigator at Jenner & Block.
Diane's corporate transaction work has ranged from Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 compliance work to the spin off or dissolution of affiliated businesses. She has established a broker/dealer registered with the SEC and drafted and implemented Codes of Ethics for investment advisers. She has extensive experience negotiating contracts of all types such as leases purchase and sale contracts service contracts employment contracts and confidentiality agreements.
Diane's experience in employment matters have included successfully resolving an audit by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs handling numerous discrimination and harassment claims managing reduction in force programs and addressing issues raised by noncompete or nonsolicitation agreements.
Diane has been responsible for handling civil and criminal litigation regulatory disputes arbitrations and mediations. She has advised her clients in matters relating to a variety of commercial securities tort and employment issues as well as bankruptcy matters and SEC CFTC and Department of Labor regulatory disputes. In addition Diane has had responsibility for procurement of insurance coverage and for the prosecution of her clients' insurance claims.
