Dimitar comes to us from Plovdiv, Bulgaria--the country�s largest wine region. Having worked in his family�s vineyards since the tender age of 12, Dimitar has brought his knowledge and passion for winemaking to the cellars of Clos LaChance. Dimitar arrived in the US in 2001. He worked at Mirrasou Winery in San Jose for a year. He then came to Clos LaChance as a harvest intern, He stayed on board after the season, working in the cellar and with the office staff...doing everything from racking and bottling to shipping and working at events. He was promoted to Cellar Master in July, 2004. In his free time, Dimitar enjoys partying with his friends. When not drinking beer, he enjoys Clos LaChance Cabernet Sauvignon. He also enjoys playing soccer and basketball. |
