Mr. Souza was elected the vice president of the board of directors as a nominee of Petroquisa in July 25, 2008. He has been the Director of New Business at Petroquisa since 2005. He is also the general manager of participations at Petrobras and member of the board of directors and executive committee of DETEN Qu�mica S.A. Mr. Souza served as president of Gaspetro from 1999 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2004. In Petrobras, he served as executive manager of natural gas from 2003 to 2004, president of the board of directors of Petroqu�mica Suape, member of the board of directors of Bahia G�s from 2002 to 2004 and president of the board of directors of TBG - Gasoduto Brasil Bol�via from 1999 to 2000, among other positions. He holds a bachelor�s degree in mining engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
