Mr. Gunther is the retired Vice-Chairman of Bechtel Group, (www.bechtel.com). Bechtel is one of the world's largest engineering-construction firms with over 40,000 employees located throughout 40 countries. In 2004, Bechtel booked $15.7 billion in new business and worked off $17.4 billion in revenue. Mr. Gunther received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and recently an honorary doctorate, from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Society of Mining Engineers, the American Society of Chemical Engineers, and Theta Tau, a professional engineering society. He is a past member of the Construction Industry Institute executive committee and the British-North American Committee as well as a former member of the executive board of the Engineering and Construction Contracting Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. |
