The recipient of the 1992 Indiana Dairy Farm Family of the Year and the 1996 Indiana Master Farmer, Don milks 100 Holsteins and farms 650 acres with his wife, son and daughter-in-law. He is the secretary of the DFA Fluid Marketing and Public Policy Committee and the DFA Mideast Area Council. Besides his work with DFA, he is a member of the National Dairy Board and the United Dairy Industry Association Board. He also serves as president of the Milk Promotion Services of Indiana and as secretary/treasurer of Steuben County Rural Electric Co-op. Don is the former president of the Steuben Dairy Herd Improvement Association and former secretary of the DeKalb and Steuben Artificial Breeding Association. |
