Don Herman is a special projects advisor to Young America Capital, based in Silicon Valley. Mr. Herman is a co-founder of Formative Ventures where he served as General Partner of the firms Prima Fund and Operating Partner of the Formative Ventures Emerging Technologies Fund. Don brings more than 20 years of operational experience, during which he developed relationships with Individual, Family Office and Institutional Investors helping raise more than $100M in venture funding for early stage technology companies. Don also has deep experience in energy and alternative energy fields as well as experience in the entertainment industry. Prior to Formative Ventures, Don ran a successful consulting firm that focused on early stage technology companies, was an officer of TelCom Semiconductor and assisted in the successful $300M acquisition by Microchip Technology and before that spent 15 years in a global technology career with Schlumberger Limited. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a BSME and pursued MBA studies at the University of Houston. Don lives in Monte Sereno, California with his wife and 2 sons. |
