Mr. Navarro has over 25 years experience in managing and advising management and interested parties in financially challenged business situations. Prior to WP Capital Partners, Mr. Navarro was the founder and managing partner of Navarro Capital Partners, LLC, a Dallas-based investment banking firm focused on serving middle market public and privately-held companies in M&A, corporate finance , and restructuring. In that capacity, Mr. Navarro was appointed Chairman of IMCO s Special Merger Committee in April 2004 and led the Merger activities that resulted in a Merger with Commonwealth Industries, Inc. The Merger was completed in December 2004 and the Company name was changed to Aleris International. Aleris is traded on the NYSE under the symbol ( ARS). Mr. Navarro is a business executive who has worked on all sides of the reorganization process and equation, judicially and non-judicially. He is well known and respected for his ability and leadership in devising and executing successful business strategies. He has advised companies on acquisitions & mergers, asset utilization, debt placement, complex negotiations. He served as Assistant United States Trustee, Department of Justice, for the Northern District of Texas from 1980-82. In this capacity, he administered several large estates including the first Braniff Airline judicial reorganization. Mr. Navarro has served on several company and charity boards of directors, including Pizza Inn, Optical Switch Corporation, Inc., Curtis Mathis, Inc., IMCO, Inc., and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He has also been an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, Association for Corporate Growth, and the Credit Finance Association and is a distinguished lecturer and public speaker. In addition to his investment banking practice, Mr. Navarro currently personally advises a number of companies and individuals on a confidential basis. |
