Don Stephan is Director of Business Development in the Central Region of Major, Lindsey and Africa, working throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining MLA, Don was an independent consultant, providing marketing, communications and business development services to a variety of professional services organizations, including law firms, accounting firms and management consulting firms. His career has included several years in senior management positions with the then-Big Six firm of Price Waterhouse, and, prior to that, with the international public relations and public affairs firm of Hill & Knowlton.
Don grew up in Evanston, Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. A thirty-year resident of the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, he and his wife Anne have three grown children. Active in the community, he has served as a board member of several Chicago area civic, cultural and charitable organizations, including three terms on the Wilmette School Board as a member and as President. His current volunteer activities include spending a few days a year building houses with Habitat For Humanity.
A long-suffering Chicago Cubs fan, Don has not missed a home opener at Wrigley Field since 1981, including many played during early April snow flurries and near-zero wind chills. He anxiously awaits the return to glory of his other sports passion, his college alma mater's football team. |
