Don, a second-generation venture capitalist, co-founded RWI Ventures in 2000. Don led RWI�s investments in companies such as DexCom (NASDAQ: DXCM), Khimetrics (acquired by SAP for $175 million), and Paracor Medical. Previously, Don spent over a decade with his father, Donald L. Lucas, investing in a number of venture-backed companies in the technology and life sciences sectors, including Macromedia, Intuitive Surgical and Coulter Pharmaceutical. Having successfully invested through different economic cycles and periods of technology innovation, Don brings to RWI Ventures the insight and intuition gained over a lifetime in the venture capital business. Don also serves on the Boards of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Richard M. Lucas Foundation, and is a member of the UCSF Diabetes Center Leadership Council. Don holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University. |
