Mr. McLellan directs Motorola's corporate development and strategic transactions group. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and private equity transactions throughout the world. Since he joined Motorola, he and his team successfully closed over 150 transactions ranging in scope from small strategic investments to Motorola's $17 billion merger with General Instrument Corporation. Prior to joining Motorola in 1996, Mr. McLellan was a corporate attorney with the law firm of Winston & Strawn in Chicago specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities and finance. He has been a presenter at The Conference Board Mergers and Acquisitions Conference. Articles he has co-authored include Registration and Reporting Requirements under the Exchange Act of 1934 for the Practicing Law Institute and Mergers and Acquisitions Involving Electric Utilities: Recent Developments for the Edison Electric Institute. He is a member of the New York, Massachusetts and Illinois bars. He is a council member of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a nonpartisan institution of advanced study that promotes scholarship in public affairs. Mr. McLellan received his B.A., M.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Chicago where his graduate studies focused on organizational behavior and decision making. |
