Donald L. Walker is senior vice president human resources and organizational advancement at The Timken Company. Mr. Walker started his career with the company in 1979 as a personnel associate in Canton. In 1982, he moved to the company�s Columbus Bearing Plant where he held positions of supervisor personnel, assistant superintendent labor relations, superintendent labor relations and manager personnel and labor relations Columbus operations. Mr. Walker returned to Canton in 1987 and held subsequent positions there of attorney, manager personnel services and manager employee relations. In 1993, he was named manager of the Wooster Steel Plant and, in 1997, he returned to Canton as general manager supply chain continuous improvement. Mr. Walker also has held positions of director purchasing and logistics, vice president purchasing and president precision steel components. He was named to his current position in 2004.
He received a bachelor�s degree in psychology and a master�s degree in industrial psychology, both from Western Michigan University and a juris doctorate degree in law from Capital University. Mr. Walker also attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan Fellow Program where he earned a master�s degree in business administration. |
