Mr. Ratcliff joined Apex Silver in November 2006. His industry background is extensive spanning over 25 years in commodity risk management finance metals trading and sales. Most recently Mr. Ratcliff was Vice President of Phelps Dodge where his responsibilities included structuring the company�s metals and energy price risk portfolios; concentrate and metals trading. Prior to Phelps Dodge he spent 14 years with Cyprus where he held progressively responsible positions in commodity trading risk management and strategic marketing. He began his career in 1980 at Tenneco in corporate planning and economics.
Mr. Ratcliff holds a M.Sc. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Denver.
