Dr. Don Wilcox serves as the Regional Director of the Hawaii Region and Director of the Emergency Department at Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi in Aiea, Hawaii. As a founding Director of the region�s founding contract, he brings history to his role of Regional Director. He also worked the first shift at the hospital on the day it opened. Dr. Wilcox continues to serve in support of the parent organization of our contract hospitals as a Founding Member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Wilcox previously worked as Medical Coordinator for the Africare Medical Project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and for the American Rescue Committee in Sudan. He has worked as an Emergency Physician at American River Hospital in Sacramento, California and at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Wilcox is residency trained in emergency medicine. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of California in Santa Barbara, California where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Flexible Internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. |
