An extraordinarily successful civil servant, Ms. Bennett joined LMI in 2005 after a distinguished career as the commissioner of the General Services Administration�s (GSA's) Federal Supply Service (FSS), an organization of 3,000 that annually provides more than $42 billion in supplies and services to federal agencies worldwide. As FSS commissioner, Ms. Bennett directed extensive procurement and global supply operations, managed more than 190,000 vehicles of the worldwide federal fleet, guided the federal government�s travel and transportation management operations, and oversaw the reutilization and sale of federal excess and surplus personal property. In previous positions, Ms. Bennett served as FSS deputy commissioner, head of GSA�s government-wide travel policy office, and an economist with the Civil Aeronautics Board. She has a bachelor�s degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Maryland. She received Presidential Rank Awards for Meritorious and Distinguished Service, as well as the GSA Administrator�s Awards for Distinguished and Meritorious Service. |
