Current responsibility
Donna is a consulting actuary in the New York City office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 1984.
Experience
Donna has worked extensively with insurance companies, HMOs and other managed care entities, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plans, and large employer groups. Her experience includes pricing managed care products, developing capitation rates, analyzing benefit utilization, evaluating claim liabilities, developing contribution rates for self-funded plans, and performing financial projections.
Donna has worked with several active benefit trusts and retiree benefit trusts in reviewing rate renewals, monitoring the performance of the trusts, and performing detailed actuarial projections.
Donna has created extensive actuarial models that help organizations understand the relationships between utilization, unit prices, and cost. She has also trained clients in using Milliman's Health Cost Guidelines and Small Group Medical Underwriting Guidelines.
