Dorene VanHouten has been with Edgell Communications for more than eight years. She previously served as Group Publisher for Edgell's Merchandising Group, overseeing three magazine franchises -- Greetings etc., Selling Christmas Decorations and Selling Halloween. As Group Publisher, Dorene launched the Annual Buyer's Guide, two supplements, custom publications and the National Party Retailing Awards. In her new position as publisher of Mobile Enterprise, Dorene takes over responsibility for the monthly print publication, the Web site, multiple vertical e-newsletters, a portfolio of custom products and the annual Mobile Enterprise Executive Summit. Dorene brings a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunity, build and motivate a strong team and establish productive relationships with both audience and marketers to the dynamic mobile industry.Prior to joining Edgell, Dorene spent six years in advertising sales with R.R. Bowker, working with major national and international book publishers. Dorene resides in Long Valley, N.J. with her two sons, Michael and Matthew. |
