Dori Lieber has a long and distinguished record of involvement in nonprofit community activities as well as success in corporate and entrepreneurial businesses, making her a particularly good fit for the firm, which works at the intersection of those worlds. She has worked in radio sales and marketing in New York City. In 1979, she and her husband Joel established what would soon become a five-store retail chain, where she served as general manager. She later joined Jewish Vocational Services, where she eventually became the Associate Director of Corporate Connection, an executive-recruitment division of a non-profit agency. The program, where she worked for twelve years, became self-sustaining within its first year of business, developing crucial non-restricted funding for the agency.
She has a similarly broad record of activity as a community volunteer. She is a founder of a grassroots organization that eventually became the Friends of Shaker Square, and which is known today as S.H.A.D. She has also taken leadership positions with the Shaker Heights PTA, and has been both president of the Womens Committee of the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes and a board member of the Suburban Temple. She also has been active as a volunteer with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Ohio Arts Council, the Cleveland Ballet, Cleveland Opera and the Kent State Light Opera Company. |
