As senior vice president, human resources, Dorothy Stephenson, is responsible for Visteon�s global human resources function, including employee recruiting and development, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and organization strategy and structure. She plays a key role in implementing Visteon�s three-year plan to ensure the company is not only successful, but also invests in its people and helps them grow within the organization. She is an elected corporate officer. Prior to joining Visteon in May 2006, Stephenson was a human resources consultant. From 1976-2003, she was at Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Bethlehem, Penn., where she held various positions of increasing responsibility. From 1996-2003, Stephenson was vice president, human resources, at Bethlehem Steel. In this role, she was responsible for a successful health care strategy and fostered a new human resources vision to improve alignment with corporate and business unit strategic plans. From 1994-1996, Stephenson was manager of human resources for Bethlehem Structural Products Corp., a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel. From 1976 until 1990, when she was named corporate manager of union relations at Bethlehem Steel, she held various legal positions at the company, including the position of labor counsel. Stephenson earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kentucky and a law degree from the University of Louisville School of Law. In addition, she completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
