Doug Bloomfield is vice president of Nordson Corporation, a multinational company with direct operations in 30 countries and more than 3,600 employees worldwide.
Bloomfield leads the company's Finishing and Coating Systems business, which includes the Container Coating, Powder Coating and Liquid Finishing businesses. In this capacity, he directs the global sales and marketing, product development, application engineering, manufacturing and product line management functions. In addition, Bloomfield oversees the Automotive Systems Group business.
Bloomfield joined Nordson in 1987 as a market manager in the Automotive Systems Group. Since then, he has gained extensive experience in managing and leading complex engineered systems businesses. In 1996, he became body shop business group manager and in 1998 was promoted to group manager of the Automotive Systems group�s North American division. In 2000, Bloomfield was named vice president of the Automotive Systems Group and in 2003 added the UV Curing Systems business to his responsibilities. He was appointed to his current position in October 2005.
Bloomfield holds a bachelor�s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and a master�s degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University�s Weatherhead School of Management. |
