Douglas Cobb is a life-long entrepreneur. He is a three-time Inc. 500 CEO, a three-time Kentucky Entrepreneur of the Year and a member of the Junior Achievement Kentucky/Southern Indiana Business Hall of Fame. He is also the recipient, along with Michael Davis, of the 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Social Responsibility for their work with Appriss, Inc. Doug currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Appriss, Inc., a Louisville, Kentucky-based company that develops innovative technology solutions for criminal justice agencies. From 1997 until 2000, Doug served as the President and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc., Louisville�s leading economic development organization. Before joining Greater Louisville Inc., Doug was Managing Director of Chrysalis Ventures, Inc., a venture capital firm he co-founded in 1993. Prior to founding Chrysalis, he was the founder and CEO of The Cobb Group, the world's leading publisher of newsletters for personal computer users. Doug is active in civic affairs, currently serving as Chairman of the Regional Leadership Coalition. He served in 2000 as Chairman of Greater Louisville Inc. and in 1996 as Chairman of the Louisville Area Chamber of Commerce. Doug holds a B.A. from Williams College and an M.S. in Accounting from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. |
