A well-versed financial industry expert, MEDHOST Chief Financial Officer Doug Stewart helps guide company decision making alongside fellow corporate officers. He is responsible for the overall financial management and stability of MEDHOST. Among his major accountabilities are spearheading the development of a high-performance financial plan, overseeing the company's performance, and monitoring and managing MEDHOST's key risks.
Stewart has helped lead MEDHOST to increased annual revenues by five fold in a four-year period. Stewart has also helped position MEDHOST amongst Dallas� 100 fastest growing privately held companies according to the Dallas Business Journal in late 2005.
Stewart has held senior level positions within a wide range of companies throughout his career, including Arthur Andersen, San Marcos Telephone, CenturyTel and InternationalTalk.com.
After leaving Arthur Andersen, he provided financial services as a controller for both San Marcos Telephone and InternationalTalk.com. Stewart also served as the national head of Customer service for Century Tel.
An active member of the community, Stewart has coached little league baseball and soccer. In 1996, Stewart served as school board president of the San Marcos, Texas CISD. In that role, he helped oversee complicated educational processes and the development of school policy.
Stewart holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a certified public accountant. |
