Doug is a civil and environmental engineering practitioner and educator with 40 years of international and domestic experience as a professor, environmental engineering consultant, project manager and manager with engineering consulting firms. He has held numerous positions in consulting engineering firms including field engineer, design engineer, project manager, department and division manager and president. He also has taught extensively, which includes 5 years of experience as a university instructor and professor and development and teaching of seminars and courses on the management of professional service firms. His project management experience is extensive having managed numerous small to very large domestic and international projects. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Iowa in Environmental Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in several states. He is an Adjunct Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa. |
