Doug represents creditors and committees of creditors and equity security holders in a wide variety of workouts and commercial bankruptcies. He has advised clients both locally and throughout the United States on creditors� rights issues. He has also represented Chapter 11 debtors in successful corporate reorganizations.
His practice includes commercial litigation. In addition to bankruptcy and Uniform Commercial Code litigation, Doug has also defended clients in lender liability suits.
Doug also has substantial expertise in the area of consumer regulatory matters. He has represented clients in regulatory matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as well as state consumer finance issues. His practice includes successful defense of consumer financial claims and class action litigation.
Doug has been a shareholder in McGrath North since 1988.
