Doug Hanslip is a Partner with CTPartners, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results. Doug�s close collaboration with clients, industry experience, and broad network enable him to identify talent capable of delivering service, innovation, and profitability. A member of the firm�s Global Financial Services Practice, Doug specializes in serving investment management and capital markets clients. Alternative investment companies repeatedly enlist Doug to find outstanding talent to lead the growth of long/short equity funds, fund of funds, and arbitrage strategy firms. Asset management firms retain him to identify money managers as well as marketing and operations executives at hedge funds, mutual funds, and the general institutional marketplace. Doug has also completed assignments for a variety of key positions in commercial banking, private equity, and venture capital services. In addition to developing a successful search practice, Doug held several significant leadership roles while with executive search firm Korn/Ferry International. He was global head of the firm�s Alternative Investment Practice, managing a worldwide team of professionals dedicated to serving the specialized needs of this clientele. Doug also developed and spearheaded the activities of the KFI North American Equity Capital Markets Practice. His guidance and experience were valued and sought by members of the firm�s North American Asset Management Practice, where he was regarded as one of the practice�s two most senior partners. Previous industry experience with leading firms is the basis for Doug�s thorough understanding of client needs and astute assessment of talent. While with Lehman Brothers and Natwest Securities, he was a vice president in institutional equities. Later he became managing director of Institutional Equities for Vector Securities. Before entering search, Doug was a managing principal in the Equities Group of Banc America Securities. He was in charge of the firm�s Central Region Institutional Equities. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, Doug earned an MBA from Northwestern�s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Active in a variety of civic and charitable activities, Doug serves on the Board of Directors of the Berkshire School, on the Presidents Council of the Science and Industry Museum of Chicago, and on the Auxiliary Board of The Chicago Botanic Garden. In support of his alma mater, he is a member of the Alumni Admission Council of Northwestern University. Doug is affiliated with the firm�s New York and Chicago offices. |
