Douglas J. Anderson is the Corporate Auditor for The Dow Chemical Company, based in Midland, Michigan, at the company's global headquarters.
As the leader of the Corporate Auditing department, Doug is responsible for assessing the adequacy of accounting, financial, and operating controls of Dow's global operations.
Prior to his current position, Doug was the Finance Leader for the global Emulsion Polymers and UCAR Emulsion Systems businesses.
Doug joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1991 in the Corporate Auditing department. Prior to 1991, Doug was a Senior Audit Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Detroit. During his ten years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers he was involved in a variety of audit and litigation related assignments. In addition, Doug spent six months in London drafting the audit manual previously used by Price Waterhouse worldwide for auditing smaller and growing companies.
Doug received a BA in Economics from The University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant, and a Certified Internal Auditor. He was the Gold Medal Winner for having received the highest score on the May 1995 Certified Internal Auditor Examination given internationally by the Institute of Internal Auditors. |
