Doug Holladay is a Managing Director of Source Companies, LLC. For over 25 years, Mr. Holladay has been involved in matters related to corporate finance and private equity investing, business policy and governance, and leadership development and mentoring. Mr. Holladay is also a Managing Director of de Visscher & Co., which along with Source was a founding member of the Business Growth Alliance, has been a principal in Park Avenue Equity Partners since 1999, and is a principal in Arrow Equity Advisors, LLC both of which have created new private equity models to provide greater capital support for the long-term growth and development of medium-sized companies and the good stewardship of such companies as important regional economic contributors. Mr. Holladay is a former senior officer of Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York. He also has served in various senior staff positions at the White House and State Department including serving as the U.S. Ambassador to South Africa. Prior to his current activities, Mr. Holladay was Chairman of the Thornton Group, LLC, which he co-founded in 1995 to make direct equity investments. Mr. Holladay has served on numerous non-profit boards and Presidential Commissions including: Morehouse College, University of North Carolina School of Public Health, United Way International, One to One Mentoring Partnership, University of Virginia Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture, Harvard University Divinity Center for the Study of Values in Public Life, and the Ethiopia Opportunity Fund. Mr. Holladay has also served on numerous public and private company boards including: Clark/Bardes, Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., CNL, Inc., Hughes Supply Inc. and Canopy. Mr. Holladay was Executive Producer of the award-winning PBS documentary, The Question of God. Mr. Holladay holds an AB from the University of North Carolina, an MA from Princeton Theological Seminary and an Mlitt from Oxford University. He resides in Washington, DC. |
