Doug Horstmann joined Dubuque Bank and Trust Company in 1980 as a Commercial Loan Officer. In December 1999 Doug was appointed Senior Vice President, Lending, of Heartland Financial USA, Inc. In May 2004 he was also named president and chief executive officer of Dubuque Bank and Trust Company, after having served as Executive Vice President, Senior Lender, for a number of years. Prior to joining DB&T/Heartland, Doug worked with the Iowa Division of Banking as a bank examiner. He has served on many boards and commissions, including the Dubuque Community School District Board (current president), Finley Hospital Board of Directors, Finley Health Foundation (past chairman), Dubuque Area Industrial Development Corporation, Dubuque County Bankers, Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce (past chairman), Greater Dubuque Development Corporation, and the West Dubuque Jaycees. Doug graduated from the University of Dubuque in 1975, and he received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Drake University in 1977. |
