Douglas J. Mello is President and Founder of DJM Advisory Services, Inc., a telecommunications advisory services firm focused on assisting CEO�s with the development and execution of successful business initiatives, with a particular focus on sales. An accomplished business leader with an exceptional record of achievement in officer-level sales, marketing and operations positions in the telecommunications industry�s largest, most important and most hotly contested markets, Mr. Mello has been a member of the leadership teams of NYNEX and Bell Atlantic corporations. During those tenures, Mr. Mello successfully led key business sales organizations through a decade and half of domestic growth and rapid change, including the breakup of the Bell system and formation of NYNEX, and more recently, NYNEX�s merger with Bell Atlantic.
At Bell Atlantic, Mr. Mello was President of Large Business Sales, North, responsible for all aspects of market and channel management, sales and service for Fortune 500 companies in New York and New England. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Sales for NYNEX, leading a sales force of 10,000 people, with responsibilities for residential, small business, large business and agent channels. Previous roles included Group Vice President, technical sales, training, customer care and service quality; Chairman, President and CEO of Business Information Systems, responsible for installing computers, local area networks and associated services, growing revenue from zero to $700 million in five years. Mr. Melo is a past director of Nx Networks, E-Doctor, Ixnet, Paradigm4, Eyecast and Telexis. Currently, he is advisor to Arsenal Digital Solutions Worldwide, Inc., Clarus Systems, Inc., Phoenetic Systems, Redback Networks, Inc., Revonet, Inc., Venturi Technology Partners, Pacific Aerospace & Electronics, Inc., USA Datanet Corp. (director), Straitshot Communications, Inc. (director), Orbit IQ (director) and Tekmark Global Solutions.
Mr. Mello received a BA in History and Economics from Boston College and was a member of the Advanced Management Development program at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. |
