Mr. Young together with his partner, founded LiveCargo in 2003. He has over 33 years of experience growing technology companies and leading them through successful exits, including seven start-up companies and 13 acquisitions. In 1995, Mr Young sold Image Technology, Inc. to MCI Telecommunications, Inc. and the company became the Internet division for ISP, Web hosting, e-commerce and portal development with Mr Young serving as MCI�s President for the division. In addition to Image Technology, Mr. Young has considerable experience in the internet portal industry: he was the founder and CEO of GuardiaNet Systems, Inc. (GSI), an Internet access management technology company focused on public libraries and universities which was sold to 3M Corporation in April, 2003; and he was the founder and CEO of OnePlace, Ltd., an Internet portal, e-commerce and Internet broadcasting company acquired by Salem Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: SALM) in January 1999. Mr. Young has been twice nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year in North Carolina by Ernst & Young and was a finalist in 1996. Mr. Young received his degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. |
