Douglas Cassidy is responsible for Sales and Business Development for the Midwest Territory of the United States for Orion Health. Before joining the sales team in 2007, Douglas served as the Technical Manager for the North American office of Orion Health. Douglas has over 12 years of experience working the field of medical software and solution architecture. Previous to Orion Health, he held positions at Noteworthy Medical Systems where he worked to build an electronic medical record solution and at Qualia Computing where he participated as a member of a group of world class medical researchers and software engineers engaging in cutting-edge research and development in the areas of cognitive systems, pattern recognition, digital signal processing, image processing, graphics and human vision applied to health care and drug/vaccine discovery. Specifically, his work contributed towards the development of the Second Look, a Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) software solution for the early detection of breast cancer. Prior to moving into the field of clinical software and solutions, Douglas did research and development in the field of non-contact laser gauging. |
