Douglas Renner is founder, president and CEO of Peak IP Solutions, LLC. He began his career of over 17 years in computer networking in the network integration business and at RR Donnelley Financial, a fortune 500 company. Doug began his independent consulting business founding Douglas Renner Consulting in 1998 until being invited to join Cisco in early 2000. He worked for Cisco Systems as a Systems Engineer through 2003. At Cisco, he honed his expertise in routing and switching, Cisco AVVID, ecommerce architectures, campus design, wireless and security technologies. His clients included prominent companies such as Pixar Animation Studios, Irwin Home Equity, Copart and West America bank. Following Cisco, Douglas was a lead IP Telephony engineer with Sybase in Dublin, CA. He was team lead for the deployment of 3000 Cisco AVVID telephones across 26 North American offices. This included replacement of all LAN/WAN equipment, reconfiguration and deployment of enterprise QoS, all serving a centralized Cisco Call Manager, Unity and IPCC Enterprise Call Center. In 2004 Douglas founded Peak IP Solutions. A Bay Area local, Douglas attended De La Salle High School where he continues to be an active member of the school alumni. Douglas received a BA in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He holds a litany of certifications including CCNA, CCDA, CCDP, CCNP, Cisco Unified Communications TSS, Citrix CCA and Microsoft MCP. Douglas founded the East Bay Cisco Users Group in 2002 ( www.ebcug.org). He is currently a member of the Heartland Technology Peer Groups, Level 3 Business Partner Advisory Council and Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Livermore, CA. Aside from his time spent focused on advanced technologies, Douglas enjoys being outdoors; snowboarding and biking with his wife and two daughters. |
