Drury J. Gallagher is the Chairman Emeritus Treasurer and Secretary of Global Gold Corporation and has served in that capacity since 1995. Prior to that period he served as President and Chairman of the Board since 1983 and was a founder and director of the company which was previously named Triad Energy Corporation. Mr. Gallagher was responsible for the entrance of Global Gold into the country of Armenia in 1995. Global Gold Corporation has been a public company with its filings current since 1995 Mr. Gallagher was instrumental in having its shares listed and traded on the OTCBB in April 2004. He was the major force behind helping the company survive financially through the difficult period from 1998 through 2002 at which time it was decided to aggressively focus on new acquisitions and expansion.
Mr. Gallagher background as an entrepreneur includes financial services and real estate acquisitions and development. Since 1981 he focused on the long term health care industry and was responsibility for the financing and acquisition of twenty-one nursing homes in the State of Pennsylvania. He is currently retired from that business although he still retains his equity ownership as well as his position as one of three general partners. The nursing homes have annual revenues of approximately $100 million and are considered to be largest independent operator in the state of Pennsylvania.
He has also distinguished himself as a world renowned athlete in the sport of International Masters Swimming. He was recognized as one of the most versatile swimmers in the world from the age of forty to his early sixties during that period he was responsible for breaking 43 World Records as well as setting over 70 American Records. In August 2006 he will be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
Mr. Gallagher received his B.S. in 1960 from Fordham University�s School of Business. He resides in Manhasset New York with his wife Cathy. They have been married for over forty-three years and are the proud parents of five children and blessed with four grandchildren. |
