Mr. Grubert covers the energy industry, including primary coverage of oil and gas exploration companies, drawing on more than two decades of oil industry and Wall Street experience. Mr. Grubert joined CRT in 2007 after working at Execution LLC. Prior to that, he worked as an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein from 2000 to 2003 and at Fulcrum Global Partners from 2003 to 2005. Duane was voted Institutional Investor Magazine's "Up and Comer" for both exploration and production and for natural gas in his first two years as a publishing analyst, and ranked in the top ten for both categories thereafter. He spent 17 years at Unocal, as a petroleum engineer, in international business development and finally as General Manager of Corporate Strategy and Business Intelligence. He lived in Thailand, Alaska, and California, executed on $100 million of drilling projects, received a technical patent, drove large-scale contract negotiations, and worked with executive management in the U.S., Latin America and Asia. Duane has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from California State University. |
