Dwight Winstead is group president of the Clinical Technologies and Services business segment of Cardinal Health. Winstead is responsible for the patient point-of-care strategy of Cardinal Health and key supporting products and services including Alaris� Products Pyxis� Products Pharmacy Services and Integrated Medication Solutions.
Prior to assuming his current position in July 2006 Dwight was chief operating officer of Clinical Technologies and Services where he oversaw the Medication Products Integrated Medication Solutions Pharmacy Services and Supply Products vertical business units as well as horizontally integrated functions including Manufacturing Operations Customer Support Operations Quality and Regulatory Affairs Clinical Standards and Practice and Strategic Marketing.
Winstead also served as group president of the Cardinal Health Automation and Information Services segment and of Clinical Services and Consulting a role he assumed in 2001 after serving four years as president of Owen Healthcare a subsidiary of Cardinal Health.
Prior to joining Cardinal Health in 1997 Winstead served as executive vice president of VHA Inc. a nationwide alliance of community-owned healthcare organizations. At VHA he co-developed VHA�s supply company the precursor of what is now Novation and was responsible for all member services.
Before joining VHA Winstead was Director of Materials Management and Administrative Director of Clinical Laboratories at Alton Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans La. He previously held multiple healthcare sales positions with both Worthington Diagnostics and Johnson & Johnson. Winstead began his healthcare industry career in medical technology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Winstead has served on the board of directors for Sonus Pharmaceuticals since 1995. He holds a bachelor�s degree in medical technology from Delta State University. |
