Eamonn P. Hobbs is one of our co-founders and has been our President and Chief Executive Officer since June 1996. From 1991 until September 2002 Mr. Hobbs was a Vice President and from October 2002 to May 2004 was a Senior Vice-President of E-Z-EM with operational responsibility for our company. He was first employed by E-Z-EM from 1985 to 1986 and has been continuously employed by E-Z-EM since 1988. From 1986 to 1988 Mr. Hobbs was Director of Marketing for the North American Instrument Corporation (NAMIC) a medical device company since acquired by Boston Scientific. From 1983 to 1985 Mr. Hobbs was President and CEO and Chairman of the Board of Hobbs Medical Inc. a medial device firm that focused on interventional devices for gastroenterologists. Mr. Hobbs started his career at Cook Incorporated a leading manufacturer of interventional radiology interventional cardiology and gastroenterology medical devices. Mr. Hobbs has over 25 years experience in the interventional radiology interventional cardiology and gastroenterology medical device industries. He is a bio-medical engineer having completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Plastics Engineering with a Biomaterials emphasis at University of Lowell in 1980. He was granted an Honorary Fellowship from the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Foundation in 2005 and is the only member of the medical device industry to serve on the SIR strategic planning committee. Mr. Hobbs was elected to and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SIR Foundation and the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA). He is a frequent invited lecturer on the future of interventional radiology and interventional radiology practice trends. |
