Mr. Devanny manages the company�s worldwide expansion which includes driving the growth of Cerner Global and providing oversight and strategic direction for sales and marketing organizations. In addition Mr. Devanny oversees Cerner Grid Services focused on connecting physician practices payors and healthcare consumers with critical clinical and financial information shared across healthcare communities.
Mr. Devanny joined Cerner in 1994 and brings more than 20 years of experience in software technology and healthcare informatics to his role including an unparalleled track record of bolstering corporate performance. His first roles at Cerner included regional vice president for the Mid-Atlantic region as well as vice president and general manager for the eastern region. In 1997 Mr. Devanny left Cerner to serve as chief operating officer and president of ADAC Health Care Information Systems in Houston and rejoined Cerner as president in August 1999. Earlier in his career he worked for IBM Corp. as the business unit executive for the health sector in the Mid-Atlantic States. He also served as a member of the IBM Health Industry Market Focused Community Board of Directors.
Mr. Devanny earned his bachelor�s degree in English from the University of the South. In addition to his responsibilities with Cerner he is also on the Kansas City Advisory Board of Directors for Commerce Bank the Board of Directors for the Carriage Club and is in the Society of Fellows Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Mr. Devanny and his wife Betty reside in Kansas City Mo. and have two sons Skip and Bill. |
