Ed has administrative responsibility for North America operations, including the U.S. Regions, Canada, FCC Equipment Financing Inc. and the Customer Business Center. He began his Caterpillar career at the Financial Products Division in 1985 coming from the finance industry to Caterpillar Financial's newly opened region office in the Northeast. In 1992, he became the Region Manager of that office.
In 1996, Ed left FPD to become the Treasurer and later Finance Director of Caterpillar Asia in Singapore. There he had responsibility for Human Resources, Information Technology, Treasury, Dealer Finance and Machine Orders. Ed also held several directorships with Cat affiliates throughout Asia and a Caterpillar dealer. In 2001, Ed returned to FPD as Vice President, taking charge of the company's Asia-Pacific operations and relocated to its offices in Tokyo. The CFSC Asia-Pacific offices at that time served 23 dealers and lent to Caterpillar customers in local currency through subsidiaries in 9 Asian countries.
In 2003, Ed repatriated to the United States to Caterpillar's North American Commercial Division as NACD Region Manager for Canadian and the Eastern Regions. There he was responsible for managing the five Caterpillar District offices charged with machine and parts sales for those territories. Ed returned to FPD in 2005.
Ed graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, has an MBA from Loyola College and earned a Doctorate in International Finance from the University of Sarasota. |
