Ed is the Chief Operating Officer for Banister International where he is responsible globally for all new business development activities for Principals and leads Banister's integrated research and recruiting functions. He was appointed to this role in July of 2003 as Banister formally expanded its offices into Europe and Asia. Ed joined Banister in September of 2001 as a Principal and Director of Operations and has over 20 years of General Management, Operations and Sales experience. Ed manages the resources of Banister, assigning Client Engagement Managers and Search Consultants by search or project to meet the clients needs. He also works directly on executive level searches and leads major projects as needed. Most recently, he led an engagement for a $20 billion consumer products client to build-out their sales organization. With a team of ten Search Consultants and a Project Manager, Ed guided the client through a nine-city interview blitz over four months as they on-boarded 150 new sales managers. This project was delivered on time and under budget. Ed joined Banister from CDI, where he was the Region Vice President for one of their staffing organizations. He had full sales, operations, and profit and loss responsibility for the region, growing them to $75 million in revenue, 50+ branches and over 150 employees during his tenure. Prior to CDI, Ed spent his career in the Document Management business. There he held various sales and sales management positions with industry leader Moore Business Forms and Systems, ultimately managing their largest and most profitable district. He was recruited to Standard Register, the number two company in the document industry, to turn-around the East Region of their Document Systems Division. This business unit marketed hardware, software and e-forms solutions to its client base. Ed successfully transformed this business, bringing it to profitability within 12 months. Ed received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kutztown State University in Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Voorhees, NJ with his wife Beverly and their son Michael. |
